- The Codex Comes to Aleppo

Rabbi David, a direct descendent of the Rambam, travels to Aleppo in 1375, likely bringing the Keter Aram Soba with him (as well as many other manuscripts). He settles in Aleppo, remaining there until his passing in 1410. The Keter was safeguarded in Aleppo for hundreds of years, kept in the Great Synagogue. It was believed that the community would be destroyed if the Keter was removed from Aleppo.
