THE SYRIAN JEWISH COMMUNITY:

OUR JOURNEY THROUGH HISTORY

The Sephardic Heritage Museum has produced a 7-part, 10-hour documentary film series, which traces the 3,000 year history of the Jews of Syria – from ancient times until today. These unique historical films chronicle our community’s past from Syria to New York, South America, Israel and beyond. We have filmed on-camera interviews with more than 300 community members, and have gathered nearly 40,000 images to tell this story. The films have been screened to great acclaim at a number of venues, including Lincoln Center in New York City, Brooklyn, NY, and Deal, New Jersey.
